Why the Experts Like Them
2026 Week 4Final Edition
What this week's 16 experts said about the most mentioned players, in one place
Ollie Gordon (Mia RB) $19 Avg
Named by 15 of 16 experts
He's the first back up after De'Von Achane tore his ACL, and the experts are split on how far to chase him. Gordon was the only Miami back to play once Achane went down in the first quarter. He took 61 snaps and ran 17 times for 41 yards and a short touchdown, and he added three catches. He is expected to get the goal-line and short-yardage work, and a few experts say a starting running back is worth whatever it takes. Others warn against overpaying. He averaged 2.4 yards a carry with the lowest success rate among backs with 10 or more carries. The Dolphins score 12 points a game, and Minnesota has held every back it has faced under 50 rushing yards. Jaylen Wright should share the work once he's healthy, and several experts expect Wright to end up the better Miami back.
Braelon Allen (NYJ RB) $15 Avg
Named by 15 of 16 experts
He's the top back on the list for experts who want help this week. Breece Hall left the Lions game with a quad injury. His MRI brought good news and he is week to week, but he is unlikely to face Chicago. That makes Allen the lead back, with Isaiah Davis behind him, and Davis has yet to play an offensive snap. At 6-1 and 235 pounds, Allen is built for a heavy workload, and the Bears and Browns are favorable matchups. Some experts rank him ahead of the Miami backs because the Jets are the better team and his role is clearer. The worry is how long it lasts: Hall could be back soon, and Allen has not been efficient. Most see him as a flex or low-end RB2 while Hall sits, worth a real bid but not one that decides your season.
Kenyon Sadiq (NYJ TE) $11 Avg
Named by 14 of 16 experts
He's the rookie breakout of the week. The 16th overall pick caught seven of eight targets for 105 yards and a diving touchdown against Detroit, finishing as the TE4. He did it on only about 56 percent of the snaps and was the first read on five of his targets. The experts admit the setup was ideal. The Lions were missing both starting safeties, and the Jets were without Adonai Mitchell and tight end Mason Taylor. Taylor's return would cut into his looks, and Chicago has been stingy against tight ends. Still, he has 4.39 speed and plays for a team that may throw more with Breece Hall hurt. A tight end who could start every week rarely reaches waivers, and most experts call him the top tight end add.
Keenan Allen (Ind WR) $9 Avg
Named by 11 of 16 experts
He's a short-term starter with a soft matchup. With Alec Pierce on injured reserve, the 34-year-old caught six of nine targets for 63 yards and a touchdown against a tough Houston secondary. It was his best game as a Colt after a quiet first two weeks. Next he gets Washington in London, and the Commanders have given up the most fantasy points to receivers in the league. The experts see him as a WR3 or flex while Pierce is out, third in line for targets behind Josh Downs and Tyler Warren. The underlying numbers are thin, at 1.37 yards per route run, and at this point in his career he doesn't play every snap. One expert also points to a misdemeanor DUI charge that could lead to a suspension, from Week 8 at the earliest. Most say not to overspend, though one expert treats him as a priority.
Jaylen Wright (Mia RB) $7 Avg
Named by 9 of 16 experts
He's the long-shot bet in Miami. Wright missed Week 3 with foot and stinger injuries and is day to day, which is the only reason Ollie Gordon had the backfield to himself. Several experts think Wright ends up the better back. He has 4.38 speed, is the Miami back most like De'Von Achane, and is listed as Miami's No. 2 running back. When Achane got hurt against the Jets last December, Wright ran 24 times for 107 yards and a touchdown. One expert would take him ahead of Gordon if he practices this week. Most still put Gordon first. They point to Wright's 3.9 career yards per carry, his three fumbles and a likely split of the carries in a weak offense facing Minnesota. That makes him a cheap stash who could become the starter, not a player to spend big on.
