The week's consensus add. Since returning from injured reserve in Week 12, Strange has posted back-to-back top-eight tight end finishes: 93 yards on five catches, then three catches for 45 yards and his first touchdown of the season at Tennessee, with Brian Thomas Jr. active both times. His snap share climbed from 71 to 84 percent while Johnny Mundt hit a season low, and the experts see him as Liam Coen's every-down inline tight end, the Cade Otton role from last year's Tampa Bay offense. With Travis Hunter done for the year and Parker Washington nursing a hip injury, Trevor Lawrence needs a go-to target. Week 14 brings the Colts, who give up the second-most receiving yards and third-most fantasy points to tight ends, with the Jets and Broncos behind them. Several call him the first streaming name to claim.

The Jets' new No. 1 receiver, with the usual Jets caveats. The experts had been waiting on this: in his first two games as the full-time X receiver Mitchell drew 13 targets, a 62.5 percent air-yard share and three drops, and caught three balls. Against Atlanta he caught eight of 12 for 102 yards and a 52-yard touchdown, while John Metchie managed 19 yards on eight looks. The doubts are real: the offense is one to avoid and the drops could return. The experts call him a boom-or-bust flex, and several would rather stash than start him against an improved Miami secondary, then unleash him on the Jaguars and Saints, two of the softest defenses against perimeter receivers, at least until Garrett Wilson is back.

A streamer for the last bye week, nothing more. Taylor has finished QB9 or better in two starts this year, most recently 172 passing yards and a touchdown plus eight carries for 44 yards and his first rushing score of the season in a 27-24 win over Atlanta. The experts note that about eight carries and 30 pass attempts has been the formula for a top-10 finish. They split on the matchup: several point out Miami allows the seventh- or eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks and the third-most rushing yards, while others call it a resurgent defense that forced seven turnovers in three games against a passer sacked 12 times in his last four. Play him only if Maye, Dart or Purdy left you stranded, and note Jacksonville and New Orleans follow if you need him again.

Washington's starter, and the experts no longer argue about it. Against Denver he out-carried Jeremy McNichols and Jacory Croskey-Merritt combined, 11 to 10, for 41 yards and his third touchdown in four games, and Croskey-Merritt played a season-low 13 snaps. That makes four straight usable weeks: 85 yards on 16 touches against Miami, a score against Detroit, 65 yards and a touchdown against Seattle, then Sunday night. He is the early-down and goal-line back and close to nothing in the passing game, so the experts see an RB3 with a decent floor rather than a league-winner. A quarterback-less Vikings offense could hand Washington a lead, and the Giants and Eagles follow in the playoffs. One expert bids far above the rest, while another warns the run game is fluid and says not to overbid.

A cheap flier on a role that finally produced. Vele had been playing about 90 percent of the Saints' snaps in Weeks 10 and 12 with four catches to show for it, then caught all eight targets against Miami's improved secondary for 93 yards and a touchdown, a WR7 finish. That is 15 targets in two games since the bye and a 21 percent target share, with Kellen Moore having said Vele would be more involved. The experts see him as Tyler Shough's No. 2 behind Chris Olave, helped by Alvin Kamara's absence, Olave's back spasms and the departures of Rashid Shaheed and Brandin Cooks, though Juwan Johnson still competes for looks. The Saints usually trail and have to throw, and the next three matchups are not scary. A deeper-league or PPR flex if the targets hold.
